Westminster School is an Early Learning to Year 12, co-educational, Uniting Church, day and boarding School. Around 1200 students attend our School. Westminster is set on 23 spacious hectares in Marion, a suburb southwest of the City of Adelaide. Since it was established in 1961, Westminster has become one of South Australia’s leading independent Schools.
Westminster School was undertaking a program to expand its online presence, exploring and implementing new and improved ways to communicate with the many segments of its Community. After extensive market research, Sono Advertising was commissioned to create an online brand that successfully communicated these findings.
The Westminster website is one of the key external marketing tools in promoting the school to prospective families. The website is used to gather information, book School tours, and apply for Scholarships. It is also used by current families to read Blogs, download forms and stay up-to-date with what is happening at the School. A separate section of the site would be used by the Old Scholar community, to maintain contact between the School and their classmates.
Westminster was committed to a new-look website in three sections:
- Main School Site
- Community Portal
- Old Scholars Subsite
The main School site would be used predominantly by prospective families for the purpose of collecting information about Westminster and beginning the enrolment process. This area of the site should be warm and inviting, whilst also being simple and user friendly.
The Community portal would be predominantly used by existing families. It will hold links to class room blogs, important information and forms for parents, and information about Westminster School Community Groups. This area of the site should be modern to reflect the technology being used on the site, without drifting away from Westminster.
