In 2008, Sono Advertising successfully tendered for the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) Advertising and Design account. The Art Gallery of South Australia is the State’s premier visual arts institution. It is custodian of the State’s public collection of 35,000 works of art, which is one of the largest and finest in the country and is South Australia’s single most valuable asset.

A rebrand was undertaken to establish greater cohesion across all marketing collateral. Having established the AGSA brand, all forms of communication needed to retain the new look and feel and remain consistent across all disciplines. The major marketing goals were to promote the Gallery as a high quality cultural institution and encourage people to visit and participate in the Gallery’s programs.

Sono Advertising developed a brand that reflects the Gallery’s prestige and established consistency across the Gallery’s advertising to ensure marketing materials were easily identifiable as belonging to the Gallery. A re-design of all press & magazine advertising, environmental signage & transit advertising was required.

Sono Advertising provided Creative Direction for Design & Development of all weekly marketing collateral including:

  • Visual Identity Design (Logotype & Symbol)
  • Print Adverts (Press & Magazine) Australia-wide
  • Adshels
  • Internal and External Banners
  • Posters
  • Online (Web Design and Flash Banners).
